Sparrow Friend Award 2011 Declared

Master Hitesh Yadav winner of "Sparrow Friend Award 2011"

Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) salute the sparrow friend who is doing their best to save sparrow population by honoring the person by giving him “Sparrow Friend Award”, this year Hitesh Yadav Age 5 studying in Sr. Kg. of  NES Sunbeam School, Bhandup honored with "Sparrow Friend Award 2011" from the hands of Honorable Governor of Maharashtra Shri K Sankaranarayanan. 
He have rescued / saved turtle, sparrow, pigeon, kite, owl , besra and his rescue stories have been published in newspapers. In 2009 he received "ROBINAGE Bright Sparks Scholarship" and on the event of National Education Society & Saraswathi Vidhya Bhavan Foundation Day 2010, he received the "Outstanding Student Award for being a Animal Activist". By seeing his love for animals & bird, PAWS-Mumbai given him a student membership and he becomes the youngest volunteer of PAWS-Mumbai. 

It is good to see that such young kids being sensitive to the plight of the birds. We PAWS-Mumbai always encourage children so that they can grow up as caring citizens who are sensitive towards animals and birds. It is only then we will definitely make a difference and live in harmony with nature” said Sunish Subramanian Kunju, Founder & Secretary of PAWS-Mumbai.
